Brand Identity_Polaris Infrastructur Inc.
Polaris Infrastructure Inc. is a Canadian-based and publicly traded company engaged in acquiring, developing, and operating renewable energy projects in Latin America. Currently, the Company operates a 72 MW geothermal project located in Nicaragua. The Company closed on the acquisition of run-of-river (“ROR”) hydro assets (both operational and under construction) in Peru on October 30th, 2018. The current Peruvian operating capacity is 33 MW, and a portfolio of early-stage development projects is expected to aggregate to approximately 189MW.

Challenge
Develop a new proposal, fresher, modern, more friendly, and with a new personality. Polaris, took the decision to change and adapt, since the world was demanding it in some way, and did not want to be left behind in this digital transformation of business, in addition to the extension into new divisions and areas of exploration of renewable energy.
As one of the biggest challenges was to unify in a single brand the three countries where Polaris operates which are; Canada, Nicaragua, and Peru with different renewable energy projects where they had developed a brand per country, which at the time was the right thing to do, but the brand matured and took the decision to globalize its brand.

Solution
One of the orientations we received from the brand was that they wanted to capitalize on the origin of the company to the other LATAM countries. They were demonstrating the experience, technology, and innovation to transform the quality of life and the economy in the countries where it is present. A visual element requested by the client was the famous maple leaf, which is part of Canada's iconic symbols, as well as a color palette that would be associated with nature. The decision was made to develop a mark that would quickly adapt to different brand platforms from an App to a billboard on the road, simplicity and functionality were key attributes for the development, and the shape was rounded to express softness. Inside the symbol, the leaf blade is defragmented into four sections to represent the four main renewable energies; solar, wind, hydro, and geothermal.
